The Cranchi Mediterranee 50 HT hard top, a whim, an "accessory" seen by todays clientele as symonymous with a trend, and which even CRANCHI hasn't been able to resist. The H.T. line entices because it creates differences, provokes new emotions and offers the "hard top types"(those who love to sail whatever the weather) an even more slender and elegant boat. The introduction of the H.T. structure, apart from bringing undoubted practical advantages, doesn't weigh down the line of the boat at all - on the contrary, it is perfectly proportioned. The upper part of the roof is movable, with a sliding system, and with an electric opening system, while the cabin is cooled by an air conditioning system. Those who chose a Hard Top boat always know what they want: the freedom to just the sky limiting the space above their heads, the impression of being at one with nature, the indescribable pleasure of the breeze caressing their faces...
The Mediterranee 50 HT is a variation on Cranchi’s flagship 50-foot offshore express cruiser. The 50 HT was introduced alongside the Mediterranee 47 HT as the first members of a new line of hardtop express cruisers from the Italian builder.
The 50 HT is a three-stateroom, two-head cruiser powered by a pair of diesel inboards. From an exterior perspective, the focus is on the curved hardtop that sweeps over the bridge deck. It has a power sliding glass roof, crescent-shaped side windows and a swept-back windshield. The helm station is located to starboard and paired with a companion chair; there’s also a raised bench seat for two to port.
Also under the hardtop is a circular lounge seat with a table, to starboard, and an entertainment center to port. The cockpit of the 50 HT has a large sunpad offset to starboard, which resides above a tender storage “garage.”
Below deck, the 50 HT has a master stateroom forward with an island berth, a pair of hanging lockers and a private head and shower compartment. The other two staterooms are located abaft the saloon — beneath the bridge deck — and each has a hanging locker. The portside cabin has a full berth, while there’s a pair of single berths in the starboard cabin.
The main saloon area has a curved dinette to port and a galley to starboard. The galley is equipped with a microwave, sink and two-burner stove, as well as the saloon’s flat-screen TV. The second head and shower compartment is abaft the dinette and can be accessed from the saloon or, privately, from the port stateroom.
Standard equipment includes a bow thruster, diesel generator, trim tabs, anchor windlass with remote, air conditioning and Raymarine electronics.
