The 42 Yellowfin was the first oversized center console to appear in the market. It continues to set the standard for what a muscular, no holds barred center console should be. Tournament winning credentials, fully cored composite construction, highly efficient layout, and the ability to run hard in severe conditions. High performance stepped hull to reduce drag and friction. Rod holders everywhere, and an excellent cabin space. This 42 Yellowfin is one of a kind due to its custom seating and taller cabin for additional head room! Originally built as a yacht tender, it has been kept under cover 90% of its life and it shows like a considerably newer boat! This 42 Yellowfin would make a perfect Bahamas boat or for transporting people as it seats (10) people aft of the helm. Freezer under rear facing seat along with a 50 gallon live well. Take seats out when you want to fish. This boat has been fished under half a dozen times; this is not your average, beat up, fished hard Yellowfin! Preferred triple Yamaha 425hp motors were installed in 2020 and only have 330 hours!

2012 Yellowfin 42 Center Console
Yellowfin Yachts was founded by Wylie Nagler in 1998, when he realized that many of the offshore fishing boats were basically racing hulls with a center console that were sorely lacking good design and necessary fishing equipment. Having experience in offshore racing and as an avid fisherman, he pioneered a premium center console fishing boat as top priority and made it fast with a performance stepped hull, launching his first Yellowfin center console fishing boat in 2000. Eight years later, Yellowfin Yachts launched the 42, which was the first jumbo center console in the US market at that time. Yellowfin continues its leadership position meeting the needs of professional tournament fishermen and serious anglers with a “commitment to building the best offshore fishing vessels available.”
This 2012 Yellowfin 42 was refit in 2020 with the preferred, efficient triple Yamaha 425hp outboards, new upholstery, Optimus joystick with Spot Lock, Garmin MFDs, and other helm electronics. In 2022, the Whisper Gray hullsides received a ceramic coat, a technology that transforms itself on the surface to a permanent, durable, easy to clean clear shield as it cures, providing UV protection and a slippery surface for less drag/enhanced performance. Engineered with Yellowfin’s stepped surface technology for a highly efficient running surface that allows the 42 to plane faster, trim better, and deliver a drier ride and efficient performance in just about any condition, with superior seakeeping abilities. High performance K-Plane trim tabs are among the 42’s standard equipment. Originally developed to withstand the rigors of offshore racing and for durability, they plane boats faster, keeping them at a level running attitude for a safer, smoother ride in various conditions.
