SOMEDAY CAME was originally designed and built for David Marlow, founder and owner of Marlow Yachts, to Lloyds GMBH CE (ocean class) standards for long range cruising. This is the highest European construction and safety standard for recreational yachts. Marlow Marine utilizes the best and highest quality materials (such as Kevlar and hand-selected teak), technologies and construction processes in the design and build of each Marlow Explorer to ensure the best cruising experience—anywhere! A notable innovation is the patented Velocijet Strut Keels, a pair of hydrodynamic integrated skegs running the length of the prop pockets that protect running gear and greatly enhance efficiency and lateral ride stability. The wave-piercing bulbous bow reduces pitching to enhance stability along with speed, range, and fuel efficiency by modifying the way water flows around the hull. Combined with Naiad stabilizers and her extra 1.5ft of beam, SOMEDAY CAME is one of the most stable motor yachts in her class. Her yellow hull is the signature Marlow lapstrake style. The yacht’s interior features exquisitely crafted woodwork throughout the living areas in a perfect blend of traditional and modern.
SOMEDAY CAME is designed with a Portuguese bridge-style main deck with high bulwarks that are gated in front for centerline access to the foredeck storage compartment and bow pulpit with ground tackle. The bow safety rail extends to the bulwark. Euro-style covered wide side decks are easily accessed from main deck via weatherproof side doors for walking to bow or aft to the cockpit/aft deck. An 8ft hydraulic swim platform (added by a recent owner) makes a great “beach” or water toy launch area. The reverse Euro-transom with dual molded steps make boarding from the stern easy and the entire yacht can be accessed from the teak-soled cockpit/aft deck that is completely covered by the bridge extended aft deck. Built-in seating along the transom with table and other amenities make the aft deck an ideal area for al fresco dining and relaxing with cocktails. The enclosed flybridge features a command bridge style operations center with a full complement of electronics, large screens, and easy fingertip control of all pilot functions from dual Stidd chairs. Weatherproof portside door provides quick access from helm to a side deck leading aft. Bridge skylounge is well appointed for entertainment and relaxation. Port and starboard aft settees with triangular teak grate tables are built on a raised platform for panoramic views while seated. Weatherproof aft door leads to bridge aft deck with seating, table and electric grill. A custom sunshade extends from skylounge hardtop to poles in aft corners when shade is preferred. Bridge is accessed by ladder from cockpit or staircase in main salon.
