POWERBOAT GUIDE

Still a handsome Yacht, even Decades after her introduction, the Hatteras 43 Motor Yacht came out in 1985 as a replacement for the aging 423 Double Cabin. This was the smallest motor yacht in the Hatteras lineup, and like her sisterships she was heavily built on a solid fiberglass, modified V hull with a deep keel for directional stability. The two-stateroom interior features a well-appointed main salon with a mid-level galley to port and stand-up shower stalls in each of the two heads. The master stateroom is particularly spacious for a 43 footer and even includes space for a washer and dryer. With it's dark teak interior woodwork and modest dimensions, the salon is Very Comfortable. The Aft Deck is large enough to entertain a small crowd, certainly one of the more attractive features of the 43MY. A hardtop over the aft deck and a Radar Arch were standard items and the 12 inch wide side decks are notable for their roominess. Additional highlights are a well-arranged engine room (accessed from the salon), wing doors and a swim platform.
