A main attraction of the DS models is the queen centerline aft cabin berth and ensuite full head/shower with upgraded electric flush. The DS design allows for a person to sit up in the berth without hitting the cockpit floor! And the dome created by the cockpit table base forms large area above the bed with two opening hatches for air flow and light. It has it's own TV on the entry bulkhead.
The forward cabin berth is a double and located in the Vee with a large combo head/shower en suite.
The salon is bright and spacious with the added feature of the raised sole and larger "cat-eye" windows. The L-shaped galley is a step down to starboard of the companionway and the nav station is to port. A convertible dinette is forward and across from a comfortable settee.
The flat screen TV is on the salon bulkhead. The entire interior is A/C that was replaced new in 2016.
The galley is large and functional with considerable storage cubbies above the counter and drawers below. Features include the double SS sink with hot/cold pressure water, a large refrigerator with small freezer and top and front access and an oversized separate freezer compartment. The gimbaled propane stove has 3 burners and large oven, and has two propane fuel tanks in the cockpit. Also included is an installed microwave.
The engine is an upgraded Yanmar 75hp. The access is provided by the removable companionway, a water tight hatch in the aft shower, removable panels in the aft cabin and a fourth access in the galley.
The engine controls are electronic and coordinated for low speed, tight maneuvering with the Jeanneau 360 Docking joystick. This system controls the throttle, shifter and steering with a simple movement of the joystick. The bow thruster and a rotating saildrive allow the boat to make quick and sharp turns including directly to the side. The 360 Docking does not operate above 5 kts.
Electronics upgraded to Raymarine Axiom 2022. The electronics are a Raymarine suite of systems with ST-70 Graphic display and Autopilot on the port helm and ST-70 Tridata and AWI at the starboard. An upgraded 4kw scanner for radar with mast mount and upgraded Hybrid Touch chartplotter located at the cockpit table amid ship for viewing from either helm. Included is a remote control for the autopilot.
The VHF is an Standard Horizon Matrix GX2000 with a RAM mic at the helm.
Sirius XM weather and radio was added in 2016. The nav station is combined with the electrical and electronic systems.
The electrical power comes from a single 50A shore power connection. it is supplemented by a Onan 6KW diesel generator located between the helms in a special sound insulated space in a protective sound shield box. Current hours 100.
At the electrical panel are monitors for the inverter/charger and battery status.
On of the best features of the DS models is the large cockpit with the dual helms and open transom. The folding cockpit table provides access on both sides for serving guests. There is a custom Dodger, Bimini, and s eidenclosure. Custom cockpit cushions and pillows make relaxing more enjoyable.
The rig includes a standard in-mast Z-Spar furling main sail and a 140% genoa on a Harken furler. There is also an asymmetrical spinnaker included.
The control lines all run to the cockpit on Harken gear. There are two Harken 50 two speed electric genoa primary winches and two Harken 40 winches (port side is two speed electric) on the coach roof to handle the mainsail. The genoa fairlead cars are controllable with lines lead to the cockpit.
The ground tackle is a stanless steel 25kg (55 lb) Bruce anchor with 200' chain/rope rode on a Quick electric windlass with controls on the fore deck..
The owner has added heavy duty nylon/stainless steel rubrails and custom teak deck steps at the cockpit to allow for easier entry/exit.
An Edson outboard motor crane is located on the transom.
