Steve grew up in New Jersey and learned to sail at the Raritan Yacht Club racing Blue Jays. He always had a keen interest in boats and worked in boatyards selling and servicing boats all through his college days at Rutgers University. After graduating in 1977, Steve landed a job in Newport, RI, as a Broker for McMichael, and later, Northrop and Johnson. In 1984 he opened his own business, Bay Yachts Sales and Service, in Newport and Warren, RI, as the North American Moody Yachts importer. Steve is a Licensed Captain with over 30,000 offshore miles to his credit. He has been associated with Wellington since 2011 and can be found in and around Rhode Island, at his home in Stowe, VT, or cruising with his wife Cindy on their Little Harbor 63, ‘KARUNA’.
