Jimmy Rogers was born and raised in Florida and has been boating since before he could walk. Growing up around avid boaters has given him a strong love and appreciation for the water, boats, and the boating lifestyle. Continuing the family tradition, Jimmy received his higher education at the University of Florida and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Marketing from the Warrington College of Business.

He began his career in the boating industry after securing a coveted internship under a top executive at the MarineMax Inc. headquarters in Clearwater, Fl. Proving his worth to the top brass there gave him the opportunity to start as a salesman in one of the top performing stores in the MarineMax portfolio just south in Naples, FL.

In 2009 Jimmy teamed up with his uncle, industry veteran Tom George, to go out on their own and form the Tom George Yacht Group. They quickly grew from an office of 2 into a thriving firm.

Through the crucible that was the great recession Jimmy built his client base through hard work, dedication and loyalty, understanding that building trust was of the utmost importance.

A client once told him “I will never buy a boat from anyone else but you. I can tell you truly care… that is a very rare attribute these days”

To further his dedication to the yacht sales profession, Jimmy became a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) in 2011. The CPYB program is a prestigious certification that only 10% of yacht brokers worldwide have achieved. It requires a vigorous exam and ongoing education training yearly to earn enough credits and retain CPYB status.

In 2014 Jimmy Rogers was made a certified Hatteras salesman and quickly climbed through the ranks earning the distinguished salesman award, hot shot salesman award and top salesman award in the subsequent years.

Jimmy is now specialized in sportfish and cruising yachts 40-110ft, both in new construction and brokerage arenas with a well rounded degree of experience throughout the product range.
