Jim graduated from the University of Florida's College of Business in 1974 and holds an Master's degree in management. After retiring from serving twenty years in the US Air Force as a combat pilot, he entered the marine industry in 1994 with GulfWind marine/MarineMax located here in the Clearwater, FL area. His range of sales encompassed pleasure boats from eleven to over a hundred feet selling new, used, and brokerage yachts locally and at international boat shows. Additionally, Jim trained most of the sales staff at MarineMax and was constantly their highest unit producer. After 25 years with MarineMax, Jim once again retired and joined family here at the Tom George Yacht Group. He is a Licensed Yacht and Ship Broker, a Commercial Pilot, graduate of the US Air War College, holds a 100-ton Masters Captain's license from the U.S. Coastguard - and yes - he is even an Eagle Scout!
