Northrop & Johnson Charter Broker Trish Finnegan grew up in Connecticut and spent her childhood on the coast. As such, boats and sailing became second nature to her. Trish also is an animal lover; during her high school years she seized an opportunity to spend a winter tagging sea turtles on a sailboat cruising The Bahamas. While there, Trish met many people who worked on yachts and her interest was piqued.

After majoring in Human Services at George Washington University in Washington DC, Trish began a career in public relations for a hotel company; however, she couldn’t get yachting out of her mind. After a few years, Trish went to Mexico to pursue her dreams and took her first assignment at sea. Trish embarked on an exciting career as a stewardess, then chief stewardess and purser, on board luxury yachts. Her yachting travels have taken her to Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mediterranean and New England. After eight years at sea, Trish decided to pursue a career on land; charter brokerage was a natural progression.

Trish’s years of experience working on board busy charter boats has given her an incredible understanding of how to pair clients with the perfect yacht, crew and itinerary to create the trip of a lifetime. She loves to go the extra mile to make sure that clients’ needs are met. Trish is keen to cater to clients; her love of pleasing people is apparent.

Trish splits her time between Florida and New England. When she has a free moment, she loves to volunteer, fish and spend time traveling with her husband and three children.
