In January 2010 Ann Landry was presented the prestigious "Charter Broker of the Year" award by the Florida Yacht Broker's Association. Born and raised in New Orleans, Ann was attracted to the aerospace industry in nearby Houston immediately after university. An avid skier, she decided to spend a season in Aspen. The season stretched to 10 years as she was recruited by the Aspen Ski Corp to a position in ski area management. Sailing in high mountain lakes lead to the purchase of a 44-foot sailing yacht and 30,000 NM of offshore sailing, culminating in the eventual move to the charter yacht industry, where she has made a name for herself as a successful international charter broker for over 18 years. Ann states that "I was advised to discover my passion then find a way to make a living doing just that. I love what I do, I love boats and boat shows, I love visiting and sailing to the many popular and exotic charter locales so that I can tell my clients what to expect from first-hand experience." I have personally experienced charter from both sides - as crew aboard leading charter yachts and as a broker arranging charters for my clients worldwide.
