Allan grew up in the Great Lakes region where he fell in love with boating. In 2009, he sold his successful furniture store in Ann Arbor Michigan, bought a 34’ Marine Trader trawler and headed down to Stuart with his wife and two dogs, to live full time and pursue a new career as a boat broker. Allan and Cheryl live on Hutchinson Island and you will often see them cruising the local waters on their trawler “The Goode Life”. They also lend their time and their boat to a group, Freedom Waters Foundation, which provides therapeutic boat outings for children with serious illness and disabilities, along with their families, for a day away from the hospitals and their medical routines. Allan is a long time member of America’s Great Loop Cruisers Association, Marine Trawlers Organization of America and the United States Power Squadron.
