Kevin McLaughlin grew up in Boston, worked in Washington DC, and finally moved to Florida. He started boating with the "pilgrims" in Plymouth Harbor, raced sailboats on the Chesapeake Bay for twenty-five years, and completed eight Newport to Bermuda, six Annapolis to Newport races, and a Marblehead to Halifax race. He managed one of the largest boat dealerships on the Chesapeake Bay and is Vice President of a Florida boat manufacturer. The US Commercial Service recognized Kevin for excellence in international business development, and his company was the only Florida company presented in the US Commercial Service 2013 Annual Report to Congress.
